Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival in Tanzania - Transfer to Kidia Village
Upon your arrival in Tanzania, you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to Kidia Village. Take some time to settle in and relax after your journey. In the evening, meet your tour guide and fellow cyclists for a briefing on the upcoming adventure. Overnight stay in Kidia Village.
Day 2
Kidia Village to Tarakea
After a hearty breakfast, the cycling adventure begins. Start pedaling from Kidia Village towards Tarakea, a town located near the Kenya border. Enjoy the scenic landscapes along the way as you immerse yourself in the Tanzanian countryside. Dinner and overnight stay at Tarakea Police Station.
Day 3
Tarakea to West Kilimanjaro
Today's cycling route takes you from Tarakea to West Kilimanjaro. Ride through the forests north of Mount Kilimanjaro, where you may encounter blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalo, and elephants. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature as you cycle through this diverse landscape. Dinner and overnight stay at Lerang'wa Primary School.
Day 4
West Kilimanjaro to Arusha National Park
Prepare for a challenging day of cycling as you make your way from West Kilimanjaro towards Arusha National Park. Experience the thrill of biking through savannah lands and enjoy stunning views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngare na Nyuki Secondary School.
Day 5
Arusha National Park to Longido
After breakfast, continue your cycling adventure from Ngare na Nyuki. Join the main road of Namanga Road (Arusha to Nairobi road) and ride towards a small village near Longido Town. Set up camp and enjoy a relaxing evening in Longido.
Day 6
Longido Exploration and Maasai Culture
Take a break from cycling and embark on a morning hike to Longido Mountains, immersing yourself in the beautiful natural surroundings. In the afternoon, learn about the vibrant Maasai culture through the Longido Culture Tourism Project. Enjoy an evening bike ride around the village before returning to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7
Longido to Kitumbaine
Resume your cycling journey as you pedal through the savannah lands towards Maasai villages and Kitumbaine Mountain. Marvel at the scenic landscapes and enjoy the cultural encounters along the way. Dinner and overnight stay at Kitumbaine.
Day 8
Kitumbaine to Gilai Bomba
Continue exploring the Maasai land as you cycle towards Gilai Bomba. Enjoy the stunning views of OI Doinyo Lengai, Kitumbaine Mountain, and Gilai Mountain during your ride. Dinner and overnight stay at Gilai Bomba.
Day 9
Gilai Bomba to Engaruka
Load your bikes onto the vehicle and drive to the Hole of God. From here, embark on a challenging day of cycling on sandy and dusty roads to reach Engaruka. Take in the unique landscapes and enjoy the adventure. Dinner and overnight stay in Engaruka.
Day 10
Engaruka to Lake Manyara
Today, you'll have a scenic day of cycling as you pass through Maasai villages along the Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy the breathtaking views as you descend the escarpment and reach the shores of Lake Manyara. Dinner and overnight stay at Kiboko Camp.
Day 11
Lake Manyara Crater and Kiboko Camp
After breakfast, descend into the Lake Manyara Crater for a six-hour tour. Explore the abundant wildlife and marvel at the natural beauty of the area. Return to Kiboko Camp for overnight stay.
Day 12
Lake Manyara National Park - Departure
Embark on a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, where you'll have the chance to spot a wide variety of wildlife. In the afternoon, join a cultural walk with the Mto wa Mbu Culture Tourism Programme, providing insight into the vibrant multicultural village life. Later, return to Moshi, marking the end of your cycling adventure. Departure or continue with your travel plans in Tanzania.
Our tour package includes accommodation, meals, experienced tour guides, support vehicle transportation, bike rentals (if required), cultural activities, game drives, and entrance fees to national parks or attractions mentioned in the itinerary.
You can bring your own bicycle if you prefer, but we also provide bike rentals for those who don't have their own. Our rental bikes are well-maintained and suitable for the terrain
